The Little Truck books were created with author Margery Cuyler. Sweet little stories, happy little art, big success. I think these have sold more than anything else I’ve done. Not that sales equals success, but it does mean they’ve gotten into more little hands. I really wanted to do the Little Garbage Truck, but I think the series is over.
I’ve always loved end pages. I can add to the story and draw a little more of the parts of the book I enjoyed most.
The back of each book has a spot illustration. It’s my little goodbye to the story. I planned to have the drivers giving trucks a bath. On the Little Ice Cream Truck I changed it up and had the driver kicking back and having a healthy snack.
